My mom is brilliant, but her brain is betraying her. My mom has Alzheimer’s; she was diagnosed at the age of 58. She can’t drive, or read, or dress herself. She can’t remember today or yesterday. Someday, she will not remember who I am.
My mom could allow fear and ego to keep her in bed and away from the world, yet she lives every day as fully as she can.
